Why schools switch

The problem is never one module. It is the gaps between them.

Most institutes run four or five systems that do not speak to each other, plus Excel to join them up. The cost is not the licences — it is the re-typing, and the decisions made on numbers nobody quite trusts.

The same number, entered three times

A fee collected at the desk is typed into a register, then a spreadsheet, then the accounts. Each hop is a chance to be wrong, and by month end nobody knows which copy is right.

Questions nobody can answer today

"How many are we short this month?" "Which sections are behind on syllabus?" Answers take three days and a request to four people, so they stop being asked.

History that can be quietly rewritten

When a receipt can be edited and an attendance mark changed with no trail, an audit becomes a negotiation. That is a risk long before it is a fraud.

Everything, in one place

Twenty modules that share one set of books

Each one is a real product. Together they are the reason a fee collected at the desk appears in the P&L without anybody re-typing it.

Admissions

Inquiry to enrolled, without losing anyone in between.

The details that decide it

Three things worth checking against anything else you are looking at

Attendance

Capture time, not upload time

A teacher marking a register on a phone with no signal sends when it actually happened. A queue replayed at 6pm records the 7:19am arrival as 7:19am. Systems that stamp the server clock quietly destroy the record they were built to keep.

More on attendance
  • Classroom register, markable offline and synced when signal returns
  • Gate, bus and exam-hall scanning — NFC, biometric, QR or typed
  • Automatic reconciliation between the two registers
  • Low-attendance and consecutive-absence alerts to guardians
  • Correction requests with an approval trail, instead of silent edits
Finance & accounts

Built for Pakistani compliance

Fiscal year 1 July to 30 June. §153 and §149 withholding on supplier bills and salaries. Provincial sales tax on services — PRA, SRB, KPRA, BRA — separated from federal on goods. EOBI and provident fund on payroll. Not a US template with a currency symbol swapped.

More on finance & accounts
  • Chart of accounts with auto-provisioned heads for fees and bank accounts
  • Journal vouchers with draft, post and reverse
  • Trial balance, P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
  • Fiscal years with contiguity checks and a real close
  • Opening balances so you can adopt Ilmora mid-year
Exams & results

The door tells a lost student where to go

A student in the wrong hall is not misbehaving, they are lost. Scan them and the screen says 'Hall B, seat 14, starts 09:00' — not a red cross. An invigilator with two hundred people queueing cannot act on a refusal.

More on exams & results
  • Exams with subjects, max marks and per-section scheduling
  • Exam halls, sittings and seat allocation generated in roll order
  • Admit cards carrying hall and seat per subject
  • Eligibility rules scoped to a wing, program or section — with exemptions and overrides
  • Hall-door scanning that answers 'right room, right time', not just 'eligible'
Built for everyone

A portal for every role, and an app for the ones who are moving

Each person signs into their own surface with exactly what they need. Teachers, parents, students, drivers and wardens also get a native Android app, because their job does not happen at a desk.

Trust

Built so an audit is boring

These are not policies we intend to follow. They are properties of how the system is constructed, which is why we can describe them precisely.

Isolation enforced twice

Application scoping and Postgres row-level security. A bug in one is caught by the other.

Append-only money

Fees, payroll and the ledger are never edited. Corrections are dated reversals, so every rupee stays traceable.

Full audit trail

Who did what, when, and from where — including who overrode a rule and the reason they gave.

Built for Pakistan

PKR, PKT, the 1 July fiscal year, FBR withholding, provincial sales tax, EOBI and PF — not a template with the currency changed.

Made for Pakistan

Not a foreign product with the currency changed

Compliance in Pakistan is specific, and it is where imported software quietly fails. Ilmora was built here, for institutes here.

  • Fiscal year 1 July – 30 June
  • FBR §153 & §149 withholding
  • Provincial sales tax: PRA, SRB, KPRA, BRA
  • EOBI and provident fund on payroll
  • PKR in integer paisa — never a rounding drift
  • PKT timestamps throughout
  • Bank challan formats parents recognise
  • Urdu-English understood by the assistant
Questions

The ones we are actually asked

No, and that is deliberate. Every institute is configured by our team after a short demo, so your campuses, sessions, fee heads, roles and structures are right on day one. Schools that self-serve spend their first term discovering a setup mistake made in week one.

See Ilmora on your own data

A 30-minute demo with someone who knows the product. We will set up your institute properly afterwards — nobody self-serves their way into a broken configuration.
